This position is for a Municipal client of ours. This position provides office administration and clerical support to the Assessor and Tax Collector. This position is responsible for clerical duties, answering the phones and assisting the public with inquiries for both departments. The Assessor/Tax Collector Clerk will be required to work effectively with other employees and the general public regularly on a direct and indirect basis. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact courteously and effectively with fellow employees and the public is essential. Familiarity with the concepts of real estate and personal property valuation is desirable as well as the ability to explain tax collection procedures. Good computer and phone skills are essential.
A High School Diploma or its equivalent and three (3) years of related job experience
